We’re a group of multimedia & digital systems students from the university of Sussex. When not doing work for our degrees we had a bit of time on our hands, yeah yeah lay-about good for nothing students huh? So to fill that time we did this and that, subsequently this site is filled with both this and that.
 

What’s with the name?

Yeah, you want to know how come it’s all called "the semi professionals"? Well it’s a joke really, isn’t everything? We used to play pool a lot, when one of us made a good shot we’d claim it was because we were a semi-professional player. Soon semi-professional came to mean anything done well, and so when we needed a name it became the semi professionals.
And as for the pool ball logo? That’s cause it all started with playing pool.
 

Hugo

Hugo is a smart looking (only looking mind) chap, he’s good at tech stuff and writes and makes videos.
He’s currently having some time off after the long years of student life.

Iain

Iain is a long haired fellow with a gentle manner and good humour, most people seem to like him.
He’s currently working at the BBC in the Switch team to bring video content to a teenage audience.
 

Rich

Rich is another long haired man, he enjoys the finer side of life and comes from a long line of inventors and farmers.
He’s currently working towards a DPhil at the university of Sussex in broadcasting and new media techologies.
 

Others

We were also sometimes joined by other people on our jaunty adventures.
Andy our good friend and northern housemate came along for some adventures.
Mat helped out with a lot of arty things, he can be googled but it should be noted he is not "a thieving bastard shitbag" as one result tells you.
Kat appears in the Kat and Iain show.
We were also joined for the marble run by Kit a lovely girl who’s a nanny now.
And you can catches glimpses of Beth, Kelly, and Tanya, all of whom were Hugo’s flatmates in year 1.
